Thur 12/18

We held a celebration today – to celebrate Olga in SeneCare. She has been with us for 6 years and is retiring at month’s end to stay home with family. Thank you Olga for your service and TLC given to our SeneGence Distributors!

Wed 12/17

Mary M. came by today to pick up the non profit MakeSense Foundation gifts sent from our Distributors for the orphanage. Heart strings…..there are so many to help. We are fortunate we have a built in opportunity to help others as we succeed. Go to you on line order form…there are items of which the proceeds are donated to the Foundation you may order. The MakeSense Foundation helps ‘women and children in need’.

Tue 12/16

Meeting with formulators today….there’s some exciting products coming down the pike!

Fri 12/12

What a party! We were introduced to many, many new friends last night at the open house. Sales were good….but most important for us… contacting women in the area with whom to schedule demos after the New Year. And…this is the truth: a group of four women approached me and stated “we want our skin to look like yours”…. You can imagine my response.

Thur 12/11

Leslie and I are going to ‘man’ a Holiday Open House here in Newport Beach all by ourselves tonight. We are very excited as we plan to turn these contacts into a new incoming group of local Distributors…along with the sales and growth a new grouping represents. I can’t wait to meet our incoming Newbies….they will be there tonight….I just don’t know who they are because we haven’t met yet….

Wed 12/10

Oh My Goodness!!! A last minute complete change in our Holiday plans! Christmas was supposed to be at our house again this year as we have the little one (William) who is 17 months old and wanted to avoid the crowds and airports. So...we completely decorated our house, stocked our shelves and freezer with festive goodies to prepare for holiday dinning…for many out of town guests (friends and family) over a period of 7 days. But….. Kay, my mother-in-law (I say that lovingly…but….) e-mailed to say she could not make it due to a physical limitation. She was to fly in this coming Sunday…. Now she will be alone over Christmas. That is not acceptable to Ben and me. What to do? Cancel dinners and friends – tell other family members not to come ‘till New Years…..We made reservations… and are now on our way…shipping Christmas across the states…..with baby and all…. Keep me in your prayers over Christmas!! If you live in Alabama and want training or help with a demo….just let me know!

Tues 12/09

More fun at Kelly R.’s Holiday Open House! Kelly invited other Direct Sells girlfriends representing other lines of products who each displayed their wares…..There were lots of customers in and out all night…Christmas music filled the air, cash a’flow’in, and even two new Distributors signed up under Kelly. It was a festive event and a fruitful way to spend an evening with a wonderful group of women.

Mon 12/08

Today was our Holiday Open House. It was nice to see local new and seasoned Distributors has they stopped in for a bit of holiday cheer. Some even brought gifts for the orphanage supported by our not for profit MakeSense Foundation. Thank you, Ladies for your generous spirits and giving hearts!

Fri 12/05

You can’t believe how much fun it is to answer the receptionist phone as calls from Distributors are coming in…. I hear lots of great ideas …and color combos from Distributors on the other end of the phone. Marketing members rotate days of the week answering the phone. It helps us stay in touch and better understand the issues and challenges of our Distributors. I am assigned Fridays. We have a chance to understand and learn the system that has been put in place required to track changes and facilitate solutions. In the past couple of weeks we’ve been able to completely eliminate some of the challenges simply by identifying the replicating challenge and finding a solution to the problem within the appropriate department. Keep those calls coming in…you never know who will answer eager to help you!

Tues 12/02

Today Carmen and I visited the Hotel scheduled to host Seminar 2009 ‘Destination Demo’ for an event walk-through. I got chills as I realized we are about to begin executing the plans for our 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY in April!!! Oh, my goodness!! How time flies….and how far we have come! This is definitely an event you will not want to miss!

Afterwards – I dashed down the freeway to Fullerton for a ‘wowing’ and lunch experience with Ellen V. It was, of course, fun.Ellen got several names of women who are now waiting for a call from her to set a date to try this amazing product. If you learn to “Wow” – you will never lack business – or profits!

Mon 12/01

Glamour Clinic Night! Always a hoot…. The girls wanted to work on booking techniques too….Each had several upcoming appointments in their calendars this next two weeks. They are certainly on the go for the holidays!

Fri 11/28

Carmen and I came into the office today to assemble and decorate our company Christmas tree. It’s become our annual ritual mostly for the cause and benefit of the MakeSense Foundation.

The MakeSense Foundation collects gifts for children in a local orphanage. Distributor Mary M. who is in some way involved with the orphanage collects the gifts and delivers them.

Gifts are sent in from areas located all over the county by our leveling Distributors….This is yet another example of the way in which we women are so willing to help others in need…..There is a list of needs for the orphanage in the weekly SeneSentiments if you are interested.

Tues 11/25

Today we held our company Thanksgiving luncheon. It was delicious…Spirits were high with the room a buzz…. conversations and sharing amongst the team.

Carmen won the prize, movie tickets, for best desert. She made a cake from scratch without referring to a recipe. We were all quite impressed.

Sat 11/22

Today I darted over to Allyson’s for a demo. Her girlfriends are lovely – They are going to host a ‘Double Host” Demo here at the office in January. That means both invite their own guest list and earn there own host credit…. both on the same night at the same location….should be fun!

Tues 11/18:

Allyson M. & I had lunch at a darling local bistro. We met a beautiful woman and asked her to join us at a Glam N Gloss as a model….she was excited and couldn’t wait to try our products!

Friday 11/14:

Skype Training –

We conducted our first International Web Training Friday evening. It was as if V.P. Leslie, Queen Jeri and I were right there in a room full of gals who were actually sitting in a hotel meeting room in Australia!

We broadcasted our program from SeneGence in the newly designed upstairs studio. The studio is beautifully furnished and equipped with four different scene stages – one area each ffor product knowledge, demos, topic trainings, and one for guests’ events.

Our Skype videoconference was projected from a laptop here in the office to a laptop there in a hotel located in Perth, AU, then transmitted through a projector onto a large screen for our Aussie SeneSisters to view.

The training was powerful and the recognition translated just beautifully…even clapping for achievements of our Leaders across the world was real time as they received their awards that had been sent over there ahead of time. We learned that we can change stages easily, use a white board for presentations, and even project PowerPoint presentations.

Skype is an incredible medium, as it offers us a whole new opportunity to reach hundreds more Distributors than we do within our usual travel-training.

The Leaders here, in Canada, and in Australia are coming online and ‘meeting face to face’ with one another.

I just happened to turn on the TV one day this past week and saw people Skype-ing into Oprah!

Amazing….

Get online and stay in touch!!

Tues 11/11:

Ellen and I had such a wonderful time last night traveling back and forth to Victorville.

Hundreds of dollars in sales and a new Distributor first line to Ellen. Later, the drive allotted plenty of time for goal setting and to create a 'plan for success' with Ellen.

One exciting new element for Ellen is that she is going to begin to use Skype (webcam based conferencing) to contact her friends and family on the east coast, do demos on line, and start training her far away newbies via the web. We booked a launch demo at her house and scheduled time to "WOW".

It's true - once you learn to "WOW" 'em wherever you go, you are never out of business!

Mon 11/10:

Lucinda M. called me today very excited. Lucinda was one of our SeneU attendees. She sponsored another gal yesterday. She's on her way to Africa!

I am writing this on my lap top as Ellen V. is driving. We are on our way to Victorville for a demo of 15 to 20 gals. Should be a party!

We'll sponsor a few newbie's so the area has a Distributor to service the guests' SeneNeeds! (didn't think it possible to find another Seneword)

Sun 11/09:

SeneU was the best! Excitement ... fun! - dynamic learning!

I have no doubt the group of Ladies who attended will make future Leaders in SeneGence. Kelly R. lives nearby and has now attended 3 classes. She says she learns something new every time.

You bet you do... because it's impossible to learn 100% of the information the first time you hear it.

Watch for Kelly ... she's a rising SeneStar.

Fri 11/07:

Carmen told me that a couple of Distributors have asked to have me send pictures to them of my little angel. She told them she would instruct me to include one in the blog...Okay, so..she twisted my arm. :-)

Here is the latest picture of our little Mate at Halloween:

William at 15 months old.

Scrounging up some grub for the crew from the galley.

Wed 11/05:

Okay...the nail biting is over.

We have a new Commander-In-Chief who needs our support during his term.

Let's all do our parts and do what it takes to pull us out of these times.

############

Thurs 11/06:

The office is in a flurry preparing for one of our largest SeneU's to date. I am excited to have the chance to spend time with both seasoned Distributors and new Distributors.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Wed 11/05:

Okay...the nail biting is over.

We have a new Commander-In-Chief who needs our support during his term.

Let's all do our parts and do what it takes to pull us out of these times.

Tues 10/28:

Leslie returned from the Glam & Gloss tour in Houston, Oklahoma and Minnesota.

A great time was had by all.

Guests and Distributors alike learned more about our amazing product line and career opportunity. Leslie welcomed several new Distributors hailing from each area into the SeneGence fold.

Welcome aboard, Ladies!

Mon 10/27:

I spent spare hours this past weekend watering the office plants; fertilizing, trimming and spraying.

A task I intentionally set aside for myself . The office looks brighter and healthier when the plants and flowers are well attended; an air of goodness and wellbeing permeates throughout the building when our foliage is happy.

Fri 10/24:

What a hoot! I spent the evening at Lucinda's gorgeous house with 35 of her closest friends teaching them about our skin care and SenseCosmetics.

I'm telling you...they have the largest television I have ever seen.. It was so big and complicated looking. I just knew we were going to have problems watching the SeneGence DVD.'cuz you can bet I did not know how to turn it on!

Sure enough..even the teenagers couldn't figure out how to turn it on..Now you know that's big! The demo was fun.sold lots, booked more demos, met knew Distributors.. She's going to host a pajama party demowith another group of girlfriends.I think I'll wear my lip pjs. :-)

Wed 10/22:

Carla K, a Distributor who has been with us for years conducted her first demo in years for a guests she brought to the Glam & Gloss....over $700.00 dollars.

Great way to re launch her business!

Mon 10/20:

Leaders Conference was great!

DDD Leslie delivered a spell binding training ..and Sylvia B., our industry expert was absolutely marvelous! It was great to see the Field Leader Ladies.. I miss them in between events...

We had a lovely Eiffel Tower Dinner.and a funny.cheesy dinner show the following evening... fun.fun.as always..priceless experiences.

Thur 10/16:

We are off to Las Vegas for Leaders Conference....more fun, fun, fun!

Life is good when you are constantly mixing fun and work (if you can call this work) as we all get to do in Cosmetics Direct Sales.

Learning from the experts, dinner shows. meetings..product & support launches. fine dining & group lunches, sharing ideas, planning for the future with our SeneGence Leaders.

It just doesn't get any better.

Wed 10/15:

Fun Fun!

Last night Kelly R hosted a Glam N Gloss in San Bernardino.

Funny how women view eyebrows.to some they are foreign objects.

It's great to know we have a SIMPLE WAY TO TEACH WOMEN HOW TO DESIGN THEIR OWN PERFECT BROWS.THAT STAY ON ALL DAY. We spent quite a bit of time on them last night but I believe everyone was pleasantly surprised and happy at how simple perfecting their look can actually be when you are instructed properly.

Mon 10/13:

The message at church yesterday was a message of inspiration dealing with each of our individual greatness.

I believe we are each great in our own way, and each here on earth to accomplish a specific task. To provide loving, uplifting, support, guidance, education, wisdom, and simply. "a way to"..and so much more for and between one another. It may be a simple smile of approval that impacts a child's life..It could be a straight forward suggestion to a friend. You never know. As long as you come from a place of truth, just know it is all in God's plan. I learned long ago that it's not up to me to understand why.

Pray for courage, strength, and wisdom to move forward in God's plan for us and do so in love and abundance.

Wed 10/08:

Busy seeing to the final touches for Leaders' Conference in Las Vegas.

Wow!

In review..we have sure accomplished a lot in past 12 months since last Leaders. Every year and every step is a practice of continuous improvement.

I am excited (and impressed) with the improvements slated for 2009 I will be sharing with our Leaders. I can't wait to meet our new Leaders, as I am sure they are exceptional women!

Mon 10/06:

With out a doubt.we completed our best SeneU weekend ever.

The energy was exciting, attitudes are highly optimistic. The ladies who attended were fantastic! One woman, Valerie, came all the way from Montana.

They learned a lot and kept busy taking notes non stop. It's so rewarding to know we are each a part of a team who are excited to have the opportunity to excel, succeed, and to live our dreams. I have no doubt that these ladies will achieve their dreams through SeneGence!

Wed 10/01:

So.... I am at home writing today. A package is delivered. It's from my darling Mother-In-Law (really.) What's in it? Toys for William, and a note.

"I just know Ben would be thrilled if you kept this full of treats for William to enjoy. It will bring fond memories to Ben." It's Ben's Grandmother's Howdy Doody looking Cookie Jar. And sure enough, Ben beamed with joy when he saw it, stating "My Ka-Ka always had delicious treats in the cookie jar. We used to try to guess what goodie would be waiting for us in the jar each time we visited Ka-Ka's house"...and on and on with loving memories.

Great. Now what to do? I certainly had no intention of working a Howdy-Doody cookie jar into the design of my kitchen... or any cookie jar for that matter. The funny things you do for those you love...I'll have to find a home in my kitchen for "Boots"

Tues 9/30:

Bet you haven't heard this one! Last night, on my way to a demo I decided to stop at the mall and purchase new 'under garments'. Once in the changing room, for the sake of time, I decided to leave one of them on. I tore the labels off the garment and presented them along with other garments to the check out person. She was lovely and of course, I exchanged names with her to call for a demo of our products. As I left the store, I set off the alarm. Someone checked my bag and proclaimed all devices had been removed.." Please proceed".

After the demo I stopped at my local grocery store to pick up a box of diapers. As I walked in the store the alarm went off. Familiar employees heads are up and looking at me.waving me into the store with a smile. At check out, the darling clerk and I smiled at one another. I said to her "You are never going to believe this, but I think the problem is that just tonight I purchased a new under garment and the 'alarm strip' is still on it." She laughed and said 'They are quite large and you would know it." That eased my mind about the garment, but led into a lively discussion of fashion.I said "you know - I am glad we had a chance to chat because I've been looking for a way to tell you about my product.." She can't wait to get together.

In the parking lot, I walked by a car and the alarm sounded. Wow! If it's not a magnetic strip, then I am sure emitting a strong energy tonight!

At home changing into my night clothes for the evening, I indeed found a small flat magnetic strip on the garment. Thankful for a little unusual fun and a unique opportunity that allowed me to find in roads to speak to others about the product.. I marveled over how every thing we do is always an opportunity to progress, no matter how bizarre.

Mon 9/29 :

Climate Control comes to the rescue! It's been really hot here. A rash appeared on William's thigh. Needless to say, when nature called during the night the stinging of the rash woke him AND the entire household in the middle of the night.

We showered the area with cool water, spritzed Climate Control and fanned to eliminate the stinging (only then did he stop crying...) We applied a layer of antibacterial, topped it off with pharmaceutical grade petroleum to 'seal' and prevent further exposure to fluids, and rocked the exhausted little guy back to sleep.

The next morning, the rash was completely gone. Climate Control is amazing.

Wed 9/24:

Yesterday I awoke very excited. I was scheduled to report to a surgery center for a procedure on my foot.

Why excited? Every time I drive by a hospital I get the jitters. Jitters of joy ‘cuz I know the building is full of women who need our products.

Okay, so I prepared to show up with plenty of time to spare and many Beauty Books in hand so I can scope out my opportunities and make sure I have ample time to talk to as many nurses as I can. I want to walk away with at least half a dozen nurses’ names and numbers.

Well, I walk into the reception area to find no one around.

After the sound of a wind chime rings, the receptionist comes out. It’s a man, who announces to me he is pleased that I am early because the Doctor is running ahead of schedule and he can begin the procedure immediately. (Rats!)

I am ushered to the surgery room. Oh, goody – a female nurse. Almost sternly, she hands me a gown asks me to follow her.

While I change into the gown, she is reviewing my medical history and speaking 500 words a minute. She hands me a pen to sign some forms, then leads me back to where my gurney is located, then leaves as abruptly as she showed up.

This isn’t quite what I had in mind when I left the house this morning!

Another man approaches who tells me he is my nurse for the day. Yikes! He pokes the I.V. in my hand while another man, the anesthesiologist, asks more medical questions. The male nurse then announces I may begin to feel sleepy.

The next thing I know I am in a wheel chair being wheeled out to the car where Ben awaits to take me home. As I move from the wheel chair to the car seat I look out to see a lovely nurse lending a hand. As I groggily thanked her for her kindness and remarked on how efficient the facility was run, I said “I am sure there was something else I wanted to say but I can’t remember at the moment.”

So much for the best laid plans!

I headed home for some R&R.

Mon 9/22:

Saturday’s Glam N Gloss held here at the office was fun.

I always enjoy meeting our newest Distributors.

Afterward, we set dates for "wow-ing” and launch demos for the attendees….

More fun to come!

Thurs 9/18:

Leslie, Paul & I had fun recording a new Sponsoring CD today. I know you will like it!

Mon 9/15:

WHERE DID LAST WEEK GO?

Okay – I have to admit I was a bit ‘out of commission’ last week due to a much needed overhaul in the repair shop. I even missed Sene-U – which I NEVER DO!

Lots to do this week to catch up with E-MAILS, projects (recording a new sponsoring CD & writing ‘Your Book’), assignments (MakeSense Foundation), correspondence (International Interests & Prospects), articles (Newsletter and Magazine), trainings (SeneCare & Distributors), and some fun, too (Demo Saturday am & Glam N Gloss Saturday afternoon)

I will be in the office if you need me……make it a great week!

Mon 9/01:

Happy Labor Day.

I have to tell a great story. We attended a party where one of the women shared the fact that she had a heat rash in a rather delicate area, and it was hurting her.

First she excused herself to the ladies room to apply an antibiotic cream.

Yikes! It burned.

Another woman suggested Diaper____ (something) as that is what she puts on rashes for her child.

MORE BURNING! (...and we use this on our children??)

I handed her the bottle of Climate Control from William’s diaper bag. At last, relief!

I sold 12 bottles of Climate Control on the spot. $500…..

Not bad for a relaxing, barbeque day at the pool.

Sat 8/30:

My thoughts are with our beloved Distributors along the Gulf Coast…and residents of same.

I pray for their safety…..

Fri 8/29:

Rhona K. was in today. I asked her the forever ongoing question – “When are we booking your demo?” This week her response number 1137 was “I can’t because my refrigerator is in the middle of my living room. Catch me next week…” - waving her arm above her head signaling a goodbye as she walked out the door. Priceless….I can’t wait to hear excuse number 1138 next week.

Thurs 8/28:

Last night at Jo’s house was a hoot! $900.00 plus in sales and a great group of ladies. It appeared they knew one another from the Women’s Republican Group and Tennis…Jo and Linda will book several follow up demos….

It’s it great to know one event continues to pay off into the future? Time well spent!

Tues 8/26:

New Mother, Renee C. is at this moment in the lobby demo-ing with a referral customer – a complete glamour makeover.

She does such a great job! ($$)

Luann G. brought Banana Bread for the staff, (wasn’t that sweet?) and Jo & Linda K. came by to pick up their product orders and to discuss the demo we are conducting at their house together tomorrow night.

I told them not to serve alcohol until after our demo. It seems if alcohol is served before or during…the guests tend to wander to other topics or interest (lack of focus).

Actual experience indicates sales, sponsoring, and bookings are more plentiful in the absence of alcohol. Good advice passed onto other Distributors….

Mon 8/25:

Home Sweet Home –

Mother and Wife- (my favorite titles of all!) - that was this past weekend’s theme.

(Okay, so I did answer company e-mails & work on a SeneGence Australian project during naptimes!.)

Strolling around the neighborhood, play time, making dinner together, repotting beloved orchids (the orchid is our company flower, because they are as beautiful and varied as our SeneGence Distributors...) sunshine, and lots of swimming!

Family time is bliss.

I am ready and recharged for a new & productive SeneWeek!

…hope you are, too.

Fri 8/22:

I am so excited to announce that we'll soon be launching a separate website for SeneSerum-C!

The site will include some very important and significant elements.

- A video blog depicting the changes in Leslie’s skin from the time she began using the product…. the step by step progress from using SeneSerum-C. Other companies show "simulated" results for their anti-aging products, but since our products really work, we can show the real thing!

- An audio interview with the product formulator of SeneSerum-C.

- And of course, some very clear instructions on how to use the product (in tandem with Climate Control) for the best possible results.

We've been hearing so many great stories - everyone is thrilled with SeneSerum-C, even the men who have been using it!

Send us pictures showing YOUR results. We'll post them.
(before and after shots are good, progessive results over time - even better.)

Thurs 8/21:

I can’t believe the kids are already back in school in so many areas throughout the country.

Hmmmm…. we’ll have to do something special for all of the moms to take advantage of the time now that the kids are gone during the day!

Ideas, anyone?

J

Wed 8/20:

Just spent the last three days with my mother, my father, and my sister, Millie – doing the ‘loop’. Millie and I drove from California to Arizona. First to return Mom back home, which then gave us a chance to visit with Mom and Dad.

Then we drove to Prescott, AZ to visit and spend the night with Priscilla M.

And finally, we arrived in Phoenix to visit my darling niece. During the entire three days, I was accessible and productive, taking care of business and touching base with various people.

Oh, the wonders of wireless laptops and mobile phones! As long as you are ‘plugged’ in, it doesn’t matter from where you are ‘taking care of business’. I love direct sales!

This morning I boarded a plane and returned home.

Fri 8/15:

Yesterday Flor A. and I conducted our first training for her growing Spanish-speaking down line in the Long Beach area. It went quite well. Most of us met for the first time. We applied makeup and combined it with lots of product knowledge….the girls left with orders in hand and excitement about their futures.

After training, I met up with Robert Ahola to talk about “Your Story”. He gave me my next writing assignment. You're all gonna love the book!!

My entire family is in town for William’s first birthday party this weekend. Here he is celebrating with us on the anniversary of his birth….

Mon 8/11:

I am thrilled that calls and e-mails are coming in on a daily basis to book…book….book demos!

We sent out a letter to Distributors in the area stating that I'm available for hands-on training for those who desire to learn how to demo, sale, and sponsor.

It’s very exciting to finally have the opportunity to work with so many of our long term loyal Distributors (as well as some of our newer Distributors!) and have a chance to train them so they can take their businesses to the next level of prosperity.

Thur 8/7:

Kelly R. joined us for lunch today, and then we had an afternoon goal setting session.

Every month, we hold a company luncheon to celebrate departmental achievements and birthdays. Departments vied for winnings; we played ‘Hoops’ and “Batting”. SeneCare won the contest. Kelly had fun, and departed with training dates for her area, and a great plan of action in hand.

Flor A. also came in for a goal setting meeting today. She wants to lead the growing Spanish speaking market. We put a plan into place (for her and for corporate.) I'd better brush up on my Spanish!

Tues 8/5:

Hot! . Hot! . Hot!

I drove out to Palm Springs today to visit with vacationing Karole L. and daughter Kimmee. It was 103 in the shade! We lounged at the pool, chatted and ate lunch.

Tough day…but someone has to do it!

J

Sun 8/03:

I have a tough time calling this "work."

Oh, my goodness! I had so much fun at the home of Kelly R. today.

It was her launch demo....I stayed for hours as I really didn't want to leave. The women in attendance were amazing entrepreneurs, each in their own rights. I met 4 newer Distributors I'd not met prior, and we signed up 5 more new Distributors after the demo. Sales were somewhere between $200 to $300 in products...as other guests were dividing up and ordering products through the newbies.... Isn't that exciting?

Kelly is coming to the office on Thursday for lunch. We are going to put a training schedule into place in her area throughout the rest of the year, so that new SeneGence Distributors will be assured they will have Kelly and my help and support as they come on board with SeneGence. That area of the state is ready to explode!

Sat 8/02:

Sene-U....

... was fantastically engaging and fun!..... New and recommitted Distributors joined us here at corporate for the weekend to learn....to return to their home towns loaded with great ideas, techniques, and knowledge needed to Build...Build...Build their SeneGence business. Okay Girls - we have to talk.... Queen Jeri T, was here with 7 of her G0-Go-Girls. CP Sheila Y. had one sweet Young Chick in attendance...and Jerni was represented with one Dynamic Distributor... Kelly R. Let's see from what downline organization the majority of the attendees are from during the upcoming September Sene-U .... :) Space is limited. The race for registration is on!

Fri 8/01:

Gorgeous day today…and it’s going to be an even better night because tonight is the first session of the SeneGence August Sene–U.

That means I have the great pleasure of meeting some of our new Distributors!

The office is all a’buzzz. We are ready for what is always our favorite start to most months. Isn’t that a great way to start almost every business month of the year? Meeting exciting and excited new friends, and some not so new.

Several people who have been with us for quite awhile have told me it is ‘time’ for them to kick their businesses into gear, as their futures in some other endeavors are not looking as bright as they used to.

Even in this economy, we're booming! And, what a wonderful thing it is to be able to help so many through what could be otherwise trying times. What a wonderful business, SeneGence!

I’ll report on the activities and festivities of Sene-U next week. Stay tuned….

Tues 7/29:

It’s “shake rattle n’roll” of a different kind around here at the office today.

An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 just hit, and I for one was quite ‘rattled.’ (I’ve lived in Southern California for 35 years – still can’t get used to earthquakes!) I called home to check on the boys and they were just fine.

Tonight I'm looking forward to holding a demo with Debbie S. at a salon she has chosen; they’ve invited lots of customers. Thank goodness we’ve got a demo booked. Productivity calms my nerves and will take my mind off of the earthquake…..I’ll let you know how the demo goes…. J

Mon 7/28:

I love deadlines!

Our son William’s one year birthday is coming soon. I can't believe he will be one year old! His first year of life has been such a milestone for us. The growth of SeneGence in our new building, the growth of our family, and the growth of one beautiful baby as he becomes a little boy right before our very eyes.

I spent the weekend preparing our house for the arrival of friends and family who will travel from afar to help celebrate the occasion. It occurred to me yet one more time how much effort it takes to constantly move forward and how many tasks can be completed when one is faced with deadlines. This applies to every area in life…personal, home, family, work.

I accomplished so much within those two days. I felt quite satisfied……and decided to impose a few new deadlines upon myself for business purposes this week.

Thank goodness for William, and thank goodness for deadlines!

Thurs 7/24:

New Distributor Erin F. came by for lunch and a 'getting organized’ meeting with me. We set up a gameplan for the next two weeks. We booked her first demo, and also determined which of my upcoming demos she will observe. We set a lunch–wowing date, and reviewed inventory options along with her initial goals.

Within part of our discussion, we set out to determine a weekly ‘balanced’ calendar.

Erin is a busy businesswoman, a girlfriend and a mother. (three kids between the two of them!) She feels that one to two demos per week will be a handful to balance within her very full schedule, but we decided that it's doable. To try and do more might result in unwanted burnout as she tries to fit it all into her already hectic week.

I agreed. Erin’s quite enlightened to recognize her responsibilities and her need for balance from the get go. She wants to make sure she makes her mark in the long run…working smart and having fun while spending time with her family. That’s success….woman style.

Mon 7/21:

We have a regularly scheduled bimonthly training here at the office. It always proves to be fun and enlightening.

Tonight, Erin F. joined our team. She loves makeup, and is currently working in an industry that, let's just say, doesn't excite her very much.

We are going to work together building business in the Orange County area along with other dedicated SeneGence Distributors. One day, Erin will be able to support herself and her darling daughter solely through SeneGence. We plan to celebrate when that day arrives!

Sun 7/20:

Just reflecting…..

Sheila Y. & Jeri T. were in the office together for their photo shoot this week.

Watching them pose together was so fun and sweet, and brought a tear to my eyes.

“We’ve come a long way, baby!”

Both of these successful women are more beautiful today than the day I first met them.... they began as Tradeshow Titans, then turned with the tide and became Demo-ing Divas, and they've taught so many others to do so as well!

Their lives have both been blessed beyond their greatest expectations, directly and indirectly through SeneGence. And they in turn have bestowed blessings unto countless others.

I am so proud to have them as stellar member Leaders of our dynamic, growing sales force.

Fri 7/18:

Here I am, in the cosmetics industry, and yet today I was caught "bare faced."

Susie H. and husband David from Georgia called the house. They wanted directions to the office, as they are here visiting their daughter.

I was up several times with the baby last night, and slept in a little later than usual this morning. I quickly showered and dressed, and decided that I’d apply my makeup at the office while awaiting their arrival.

But guess what?? They walked in two minutes after I arrived at the office.

Ooops! Caught without my face on. I am so happy that my natural, bare skin looks good, thanks to the use of our skin care products.

Now, I'm sure that God was trying to make a point today, because as Susie H. and David left the building, two women pulled up who appeared for the sole purpose of becoming Distributors and purchasing products in order to get their new businesses going.

Yikes!…still no makeup. I said, "Okay, God; I'll never leave the house without makeup again."

So what did I do? I sat down with our new Distributors and played makeup together. By the time they left the building, we were each “SeneGized,” they'd had the opportunity to work with the products, and we all felt fresh and beautiful for the remainder of the day.

A little "divine intervention," perhaps?

Wed 7/16:

Now that I have completed my portion of Destination Demos, these stories just have to be told!

When I first began to travel for SeneGence, I recall a time at which I decided to take taxi cabs from the airport to my hotel and then on to my appointments. I'm always grateful and appreciative when someone is kind enough to pick me up, but things just happen sometimes, and during my most recent travels I had some crazy experiences...

I could have called cabs during these various visits. But would I have had as much fun?? .

When I arrived at the Minnesota airport, Jane P. was there to pick me up. We were excited to see one another, catch up, and discuss the weekend’s activities. We'd been talking for about an hour when I noticed that the signs were looking familiar – often.

We were caught up in the airport ‘loop’.

We could not figure out how to exit the airport. After the fourth ‘round-about’ – trip through the loop – I said to Jane excitedly with arm extended and finger pointing in an outward direction “GO WEST JANE – GO WEST!” We were so proud as we made our way down the highway – as if we were the original pioneer women blazing new trails.
Katie S. was stuck in traffic on her way to pick me up, and arrived about an hour late. I didn't know what type car she was driving, so as people drove up in their cars waving to someone standing in my vicinity, I returned each wave with an enthusiastic smile, usually to discover that they were waving at some other person standing nearby. People looked puzzled. As one woman got out of her car she asked the couple she came to pick up “Is she with you?” – jerking her head in my direction. They looked at me sideways and shook their heads no while quickly throwing their bags into the truck before speeding away. Sigh.

Later, Anne M. and I were speeding down the highway in her cute little red convertible.

The highways in her neck of the woods are not well lit at night, as they run through beautiful forests. We were consumed with our conversation. Anne followed the truck in front of her.

Well, that seemed natural enough –

but what she did not notice was that she was following a massive dump truck into the construction lanes of a portion of highway which was being refurbished. She did not seem to see the dozens of men running after us shouting and waving their hands high above their heads trying to catch her attention.

It wasn’t until I let out a little gasp as a giant steam roller came barreling toward us that she looked around to see what all of the commotion was about. I tried to appear calm, but by this time I was saying my prayers and thinking of my boys back home and how I may never see them again! Anne suddenly saw what was going on.

”What??” she said, as she veered over several pot holes and stacks of debris back into the correct lane. She looked at me and said, “Now, where were we?”

Sometimes ladies, it's all about the journey!

Tues 7/15:

Washington State is one of the most beautiful states of the Union.

Gorgeous trees everywhere.

I spent a lovely weekend with Katie S. traveling up and down the highways – even to the west coast ocean shores to conduct a demo at Monica L-C.’s.

Weekend totals were: sponsor 3 new Distributors; book 3; Katie booked additional new Distributor launch demos. Newbie Distributors who attended the demos learned more about the products and prepared their initial product orders. I must tell you – one of the demo’s had only one (1) – Yes – ONE customer attend….and she was a veteran from a nutrition MLM; now turned devoted SeneDerm customer. A good time was had by all – thank you, Katie for being such a gracious hostess.

Mon 7/07:

Canada is gorgeous this time of year. I spent the last 2 ½ days riding along the highways with Anne M. enjoying the beauty of the land while traveling from one demo to the next.

Destination Demo results? 11 new Distributors coming on board, $2600 plus in sales; 7 bookings and 5 SeneBlends scheduled.

Thanks to Anne M., the weekend was well orchestrated as she shared her demo time slots with other SeneSisters from Canada.

Thank you, Anne…. J

Wed 7/02:

I am not sure how I accomplished anything CEO-ish today between the excitement and tears of joy.

The office was abuzz with visitors, of usual. One highlight was a visit from Beryl H., the winner of the “Make It Mine Contest” ( a first – of – it’s – kind – contest.) She stopped in to drop off a sample of the new lip shade she has chosen to launch into the field (her prize for winning the drawing.)

Beryl had resorted to purchasing as a sample the old fashioned kind of lipstick….Icky! Note smudge of that lipstick on napkin…and it broke in half as we applied the color! Remember those days?

Beryl H., left

Leslie Boyd-Bradley,
Director of Distributor Development,
right

Then….Renee (D) dropped in to pick up her latest order and brought with her….who else other than her DARLING 11 week old little boy, Cole. That’s when the tears of joy turned up or rather ‘out’…. J

Wed 7/02:

Sheila Y., our beloved Crown Princess was the guest speaker on tonight’s Happy Hour call.

She is so sweet, warm, loving, and yet persistent, intent, and directed all at the same time. It's no wonder she is our Number One Distributor in all of SeneGence. Sheila gave me permission to report on her ‘PART TIME’ earnings with SeneGence…. Over $650,000.00 in earnings thus far! Now, that’s great pay for part time!!! If you are a registered Distributor, I highly recommend logging into your back office - go to Happy Hour - to listen to her interview and learn how you too can earn a part time income such as she has earned…be prepared to get excited and grow your business!

Tues 7/01:

I forgot to share with you this very special SeneSun SunScreen SPF 30 testimonial:

We were at the beach on Saturday, and we applied a major brand of baby sunscreen to my 10 month old William’s body. Now, you have to know that I'm very picky about what we allow to touch his delicate ivory skin.

The product was:

· Pediatrician tested

· Tear-free

· Contained continuous Sun Block SPF 50

- Waterproof

When it was applied to his skin, red blotches immediately appeared!! It was definitely an allergic reaction. In horror, his nanny quickly wiped off the product. Frank (Carmen’s husband) mentioned that he had a bottle of our SeneSun SunScreen SPF 30 with him . (Why hadn’t I thought of that?)

We sprayed William from head to toe. Using our SeneGence product, there was no skin reaction, and no fuss from William as our sunscreen does not leave a thick or oily film on the skin. And, no baby burn by the day’s end.

William loves to swim!

Mon 6/30:

I just love our Distributors. The Leaders who attended P.I.T. (Princess in Training, our semi-annual meeting) this weekend have a special place in my heart. They show up to win in business for themselves, their customers, their down lines, and for SeneGence. The bounds that are made here between the ladies and the information passed on from our industry experts become invaluable to each of them.

Training was particularly exciting this P.I.T. as I am sure I can speak for everyone who attended – Leslie, our Director of Distributor Development is a Demo-ing Diva par Excellence! Our Leaders walked away with loads of new fun ideas, common sense techniques, and word-for-word, blow-by-blow, step-by-step how-to instructions for Booking-Demoing–Directing ... and she made it all fun and exciting!!! I have never seen so many Leaders wildly taking notes the way they were as they sat at their desks listening to her training. Truly – I shed a tear!

Okay – my very favorite parts of P.I.T.??

Twofold: I have to say one was the dinner spent with our three top sponsoring Distributors who won the P.I.T. sponsoring challenge.

Sheila Y., Bridgette L., and Dawn C. (along with Ben and I) enjoyed a delicious dinner together at a lovely beach front restaurant, and entertained one another with personal stories.

The other favorite period was time spent with the girls walking along the water's edge at the beach during Saturday’s Beach Bash - again, sharing stories, laughing, and getting to know each better.

Success truly is a ‘Jerni’. A “Jerni’ of work, love, laughter, and play…A ‘Jerni’ taken together. It is true – conferences do change lives. Talk to a Leader who attended PIT. Ask them how this event changed their lives…. it will make you want to qualify for our next event, which is our Leaders' Conference this coming October, to be held in Las Vegas. Leslie, our DDD, is looking forward to meeting all of you.

Wed 6/25:

I asked Carmen to accompany me in the car (so I could drive in the diamond lane) to conduct a ‘cosmetic application’ course to students (salon owners) at a beauty school in the L.A. area along with SeneGence Distributor Evelyn K.

I bribed Carmen from her duties here at the office by offering to treat her to an authentic Mexican lunch before returning to the office.

It took about an hour to conduct the class. Basically, I taught the students make up placement on faces by drawing on a chalk board. Afterwards, Evelyn, who brought her testers and applicators, help them apply products. As Evelyn walked Carmen and I out to the car, she said she was confident many would become Distributors and in turn offer the products through their salons to their salon customers. Easy.

Once in the car, lunch was on Carmen’s mind. Thankfully, next door to the Beauty School was a privately owned Mexican restaurant and ‘drive thru’. Carmen laughed heartily as I handed her the bag of home made taquitos….”you never said lunch was going to be inside”….The food was delicious and we made it back to the office before 1:00 pm.

Tues 6/24:

Fia H. and her daughter Shawna B. are “up & comers”!

DDD, Leslie and I had a WONDERFUL time at their demo. We completed applications for two new Distributors, sold SeneGence products valued over $600.00, and booked two follow up demos ‘ta boot. I just love it when all goes well at a demo (Yes, that’s right – even I have demos that aren’t so great from time to time!)

I must say though; it’s fun to report to you a well rounded demo. Hey – it’s true…. The more demos you do, the greater the odds of having great results; meaning sponsoring-sells and future bookings all from one single demo. Attending the demo as guests of Fia’s was a couple of more seasoned local Distributors, Susan and Cynthia – so we accomplished offering a little more product knowledge training as well. Okay – the important news: Fia is a Fantastic Cook! She had scrumptious goodies to munch…and they were healthy too. Yum.

Sun 6/22:

I spent the last day and a half in Minnesota with Jane P. Just let me say – this woman is committed to succeed and to a life of abundance – no matter what! Despite a last minute critical family matter that took a great deal of time this past week and dealing with a stressful ‘emergency level’ work incident – Jane persevered. Although our Friday demo cancelled (it happens to all of us!), we held three product demos on Saturday.

As a result of Saturday’s demos, 3 new Distributors signed on. Though, before I left town, one called to say she ‘rethought’ and decided to order through another Distributor for a greater “discount”. (As a member of a different type of direct sales company where she is a ‘representative’ of a ‘buying club’ she didn’t ‘grasp’ what we actually do here at SeneGence.) Oh well – NEXT! The other two new Distributors will be wonderful additions to the team Jane is building in Minnesota.

With a full time job as a Nurse Practitioner and the full time responsibility of raising two gorgeous daughters, Jane has found balance difficult to reach – and to find the time she would like to carve out of her overloaded schedule for her SeneGence Business. We discussed her options together, and formalized a plan for Jane to bring into her life and her home a much loved and trusted ‘weekend nanny” twice a month. The girls will have the chance to participate in lots of weekend outings and Jane can attend to her business, stepping in and out of the girls weekend activities as she pleases while attending to her SeneGence business. I think it is a marvelous idea!

One of Jane’s daughters felt ‘blue’ over an injury. Boy, did her face light up when we offered to her the chance to apply liner and lip color …. her gloomy sullenness tranformed into a sparkle and a twinkle, and she instantly became a chatty Cathy.

I shed a tear as I write these words realizing the fun, joy, confidence and happiness we bring into lives of those we touch…the ‘beauty’ of it all is that it is so simple…we just have to open our mouths with words of kindness and beauty.

Jane created a great visual to more easily teach others skin cell growth…tune in to the SeneTip for next Monday.

Wed 06/18:

DDD Leslie and I headed down to the San Diego area to work with a darling group of New and Seasoned SeneGence Distributors, lead by Gloria R. Turns out the newbie Distributors gathered at the hostess’ home (gorgeous) and each had signed as a Distributor during the Mothers Day free sign up special. All of them are stay-at-home MOMS with children ranging from one 1-year-old up through a woman who has 6 children. We conducted a demo-slash- training event; another Mother-daughter team signed on.

Leslie will plan to be in San Diego the first week of each month to help excited and highly motivated Gloria R grow her area.

Wed. 06/11:

I normally wouldn’t mention this, but I feel compelled to due to the responses of my Doctor.

Today I had a thorough “Woman’s Wellness Checkup” (I hope each of you is seeing your Doctor at least once a year for same) – anyway – you know what that means....

Well, as we were making our way through the checkup from one area to the next, my Doctor remarked several times on the beautiful, soft condition of my skin; first on my face, then throat, on to my arms….and so on. He actually turned to refer to my records to note my age…and asked me to verify! He was amazed at how beautifully the incision had healed left from the birth of William....it is virtually gone…

As I returned to the office I held a phone interview about SeneGence with a gentleman who represents a certain business publication. His final question to me was, “What makes SeneGence so different from other cosmetic companies?” (which told me he had no clue about what I had been saying to him for the past 15 minutes).

The thoughts in my mind raced to find something clever to say to a man who has no idea what women desire for their cosmetics and skin care needs…a short snippet he would find noteworthy and therefore understand our uniqueness.

Smiling to myself, remembering the reactions of my Doctor, I decided to rely on the simple truth of the matter.

I said to him “Our products Really Work!”

He paused and asked in a more serious and interested voice, “Really?”

Tues. 06/10:

Tonight on the Happy Hour call we heard from Mary Ann in Australia.

Topic – Sponsoring.

She is such an inspirational individual and the Highest Ranking Distributor in Australia. Mary Ann’s excitement towards the product, combined with her enthusiasm for the SeneGence opportunity is a winning combination of strengths that naturally make her a star and a wonderful recruiter. Always sponsoring minded, she says she tells each and every woman with whom she speaks, “I need women to help me spread the word about SeneGence and these wonderful products through out Australia – How about it?”

We are sure to see Mary Ann along with several of her Downline Distributors here with us next year at Seminar as members of the Inner Circle Sponsors Court.

Great work, Mary Ann!

Mon. 06/09:

Another great weekend!

Over the weekend - Friday and Saturday we held Sene-U here at the office. Beautiful Distributor attendees from California and Florida were so excited to be here to learn how to become more successful at their businesses. Each left here on fire with a resolve and an expectation to book to build …BuildBuild !

Sunday Leslie and I headed over to Chino for a Demo at Mary’s house, and this morning I spent a couple of hours training a seasoned Distributor, Rene and her employees all about SeneDerm. They are now carrying the full color SenseCosmetics and SeneDerm skin care line in her lovely salon.

Ben is leaving town tomorrow for his annual “He-Man-Hog Event’. This year it’s an 11 day Harley ride up through Canada and back with the ‘guys’….

Translation? That means I take over his baby duty hours. Goodbye to any chance of sleep …..(sounds of snoring)

Oh… Thank you all for your fun calls and e-mails regarding the Message Button. I had fun recording it….I’d love to know what it is you’d like for me to say.

Send a script….we’ll see what happens…J

Tue. PM 6/03

Wow!

Leslie (our new DDD) and I had a blast at Roxanne’s demo. I am not sure what the totals are but I know she booked 6 follow up SeneBlend appointments before I left…she’s got a couple of potential distributors. I’ll find out tomorrow…

Sweet Dreams, All.

Stayed home today to play with William, I answered e-mails while he was sleeping. The executives came to the house for a meeting. I put on my makeup during the meeting because I was scheduled to conduct a Glamour Clinic at work tonight. I am always happy I've gone. Patti and Ellen were there and Linda brought a new Distributor who signed up. We are setting some demo dates for later…..

Home again – my son Alan picked me up from the airport. Ben and William were playing when I arrived home….big hugs…and guess what? I don’t even think little William missed seeing me yesterday (Saturday). He was having…way fun…with Daddy. We snuggled and I rocked him to sleep at bedtime.

Life is good. J

Sun AM 6/01:

Cathy’s - The final demo, held at Cathy’s on Sunday morning was just as fun and exciting as the others. Dick (Cathy’s husband deserves great kudos as he prepared the munchies and even bought flowers for the event. J ) We sponsored three more wonderful women into Cathy’s Downline and they sold products…. I am not sure how much as Jeri had to dash off to buy a new wedding band at the Jewelry show and I had to leave for the airport.

Sat. PM 5/31:

LaNae and Jeri Host - The afternoon demo was held at Jeri’s lovely new home. LaNae hosted with 2 potential Distributors in attendance and a great new customer. The evening demo was hosted by Jeri with lots attending (I lost count). I met for the first time several new Distributors who came to learn and prepare their first orders. We conducted the demo and helped them prepare their order. We also sold products and sponsored 2 or 3 and helped to determine what products they would order on Monday once they received their ID#.

Sat. AM 5/31
:

Amber’s House - Amber has a beautiful home..and believe it or not - she has 3 daughters, age 14 and twin girls age 4! Oh, my goodness… I am sure you won’t hear me complain about how busy I am any more!

Her set up for the demo was completely organized! Jeri is thrilled to have Amber on board. Jeri says Amber will help organize the Vegas Gals. Her demo was over $1000.00. One woman alone order $700.00 +. That woman’s daughter who lives in Texas will sign up under Amber.

Fri. PM 5/30
:

Las Vegas Party Time! – Tonight’s demo was sooooo fun! We held it at Jazzee’s darling boutique. We all shopped and bought her cute clothes and then I conducted the a demo. Cathy sponsored Joyce, and I met for the first time, Lisa, LaNae’s girlfriend from Georgia…who will complete her distributor application before the weekend is over. She’s a beauty and works for 2 charities in the Atlanta area.
